Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Yaffa has been working with local olive growers ever since its inception in 2010. The ancient olive tree is highly regarded by Palestinians and olive growing is a tradition that goes back thousands of years.

Our teams on the ground make regular visits to the farmers to ensure best farming practice and to encourage growers to tend to their groves in the best way possible. Knowing that their produce is guaranteed a market, they are encouraged to employ best practice in order to achieve a yield that meets the required standards. At the time of harvest which is in October of each year, only the olive oil that meets the standard of extra-virgin is selected for packing and export.

Yaffa has a range of different sized bottles for purchase online and in stores throughout the country. Extra-virgin olive oil comes in 250ml, 500ml, 750ml bottles as well as 2L tins.

Important Note in regards to Olive Oil: If you find white cloudy deposits in the Olive Oil you’ve ordered, please rest assured that these are quite normal. Unlike water, Olive Oil begins to freeze at approximately 7 degrees C. This happens naturally if the Olive Oil is exposed to cold temperatures during winter time, in cold storage or during transport. If you leave the Olive Oil to stand in normal room temperature (about 20 degrees C) for a few days, it will clear up completely.
